Both cookies and sessionStorage help the site function and remember your preferences within a session. ifaro uses these technologies as described below.
Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage
These cookies and browser storage entries are essential for the website to function correctly and cannot be disabled. No consent is required for these under TTDSG §25 because they are strictly necessary for a service you have explicitly requested.

Analytics
ifaro uses Umami Analytics, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool. Umami sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track users across sessions or sites. IP addresses are never stored.
No consent is required for analytics tracking because Umami does not set any cookies or collect personal data.

Affiliate / Marketing Cookies
These cookies track clicks on affiliate links and attribute purchases for commission purposes. They are only activated after you provide explicit consent.

Consent Mechanism
On your first visit, ifaro displays a cookie consent banner with the following options:
Accept All — enables all cookie categories, including affiliate tracking.
Necessary Only — enables only strictly necessary cookies; affiliate tracking is not loaded.
Manage Preferences — opens a panel to enable or disable each category individually.
Your preference is stored in the cookie_consent cookie for 12 months. You can change your preference at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer.
